About
A browser that stays out of the way.
Browsers keep growing: assistants, feeds, accounts, a sidebar of things you didn’t ask for. Cedar is the opposite bet — the page gets the window, and everything else waits until you reach for it.
It runs on WebKit, the engine macOS already ships and keeps tuned, so it starts fast, sips battery, and leaves your memory to your pages. Then it adds the things a browser should have: tabs on top or down the side, split view, a reader that keeps what matters, passwords in your keychain, an ad blocker that costs nothing, and a terminal under the page.
Who makes it
I’m Kartik Kabadi, and I build Cedar on my own. It’s $15 once, after a 7-day free trial. No subscription, no ads, no tracking. I also make LoginToggle and MyMonitor.
Requirements
macOS 26 Tahoe or later on an Apple silicon Mac.
